Shock trauma Auditorium
-In asthmatic cardiac arrest, move quickly to IV epinephrine infusion. Inhaled bronchodilators will be minimally effective initially. - Patients with tachypnea from asthma have increased insensible losses and are HYPOvolemic. - Set the RR set to 8 on vent with lung protective volumes, goal peak pressure <30. - Non-depolarizing paralytics such as Rocuronium or Vecuronium are preferred for longer duration of action which allows for better vent management.
