CPC – Drs. Jacob Danoff and Tareq Al Salamah • Post-infectious cerebellitis: ataxia and encephalitis after a viral illness. • Rapid onset of symptoms a few days after illness but expect a good recovery. CPC – Drs. Jessica Downing and Abena Akomeah • There are three presentations of early Lyme disease: - Early localized Lyme: erythema migrans and constitutional symptoms. - Early disseminated: multiple erythema migrans lesions, cranial nerve palsies, meningitis/encephalitis. - Lyme carditis: rare, usually presents with a conduction delay as well as other symptoms of disseminated Lyme disease • Treatment for Lyme carditis is ceftriaxone 2 g daily until PR < 300 ms and the conduction delay resolves. After that you can transition to doxycycline.
