Additional Info
• Transvaginal US allows for identification of structures 1-2 weeks earlier than transabdominal US. • Transvaginal US requires a nurse or tech to chaperone. Do not forget the sterile cover. • Start with the probe marker up toward the ceiling and aim toward the anterior fornix to obtain the sagittal/long axis view. • For ovarian ultrasound start in the transverse view and sweep left and right.
