Why did you choose UMEM?
I ranked UMEM highly because all the residents and faculty seemed dedicated to helping each other reach their goals. It's a highly collaborative and supportive environment and that resonated really well with me.
Most interesting former job?
I worked as a fieldwork research assistant between college and med school. I drove around Baltimore City and interviewed people living on less than 25% of the federal poverty level. It was very humbling to hear these individuals' stories and it definitely added depth to my perspective of the city's landscape.
Favorite movie(s):
Definitely the Indiana Jones films… but let's just pretend that Crystal Skull never happened…
Hobbies:
I like to stay active by hiking, kayaking, playing squash, or hitting the gym. Service is very important to me, and I've enjoyed exploring Baltimore's non-profit sector through Volunteering Untapped.
