A Little About Me

Hey everyone! I moved to Maryland from Tennessee. I went to several colleges for undergrad, ultimately graduating from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Biochemistry. I completed medical school at University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN.

I chose EM/IM because I think it is the broadest training for adult medicine available. EM teaches procedural skills and offers an exciting and dynamic practice. Internal medicine allows for a more contemplative approach to patient care. I appreciate having more time with patients for education and encouraging them to be active participants in their own health.  I also think dual trainees have a unique perspective of health care as a whole. We have the privilege of working in and understanding inpatient, outpatient and emergency medical practices, which allows us to improve communication between providers within different departments.

Research Interests

Most of my free time is spent traveling to see friends/family, running/working out, cooking and sleeping. However, Baltimore is a great city! From outdoor adventures, inner city running, amazing local restaurants, cultural, music and art festivals, museums and much more, Baltimore really offers it all.
