Jefferson Medical College
I grew up outside of Philadelphia. Leaving Pennsylvania to attend undergrad at Duke University, I stayed in the Durham, NC area for a few years after college and worked as a sleep technician/researcher. It was then on to a post-bac, half at Duke and half at UPenn in Philadelphia. Whilst moving around Philly, my wife and I also got married in the area in 2009. I then went to Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia.
In 2014 I was honored to have the opportunity to join the EM/IM program at Maryland. On my interview day I was overwhelmingly impressed with the caliber of the program, the diversity of the patient population, and the quality and friendliness of the people. My experience thus far at UMMC has only surpassed this wonderful first impression.
Clinically my interests include critical care while my principle para-clinical interests are Informatics/Health Information Technology and Medical Education. I've had the good pleasure of writing software for med ed for a number of years. In my free time I enjoy running, spending time with my wife and our two Labrador Retrievers (Max and Chloe) and watching sports (Philadelphia Flyers and Duke Basketball/Football).
