Michael D. Witting, MD, MS, has been steadily involved in original research since joining our emergency medicine faculty in 1993. He holds a master’s degree in clinical research from the University of Maryland. In addition to mentoring students, residents, and junior faculty in their research efforts, he serves as Director of Research Education and Chair of our residency’s Scholarly Project Subcommittee. Dr. Witting’s research interests include bedside diagnosis, difficult intravenous access, intimate partner violence, and general emergency medicine topics.
