Academic Activities and Responsibilities

I grew up in "gorgeous" Ithaca, NY. I did my undergrad at WVU, while working as an RA and a pharm tech. Continuing moving south, I went to LECOM in FL for med school. I'm very happy to be back in the northeast.

I love living in Baltimore. People recycle here and there are lots of farmer's markets (very reminiscent of home). Outside of medicine, I enjoy soccer, racquetball, hiking, biking, running, martial arts, and jewelry. We even have a local indoor soccer team made up of EM residents and attendings that plays year round.

I'm thrilled to have matched at such an amazing program as the University of Maryland. I love the stash of Dr. Mattu's books we were given, and I can't wait to get on his cookie list (he exchanges good ekgs for cookies!). I've continued to be impressed with UMD since I've been here with the simulation center, the cadaver labs, and ultrasound exposure. We have excellent critical care and trauma experience. We never have a shortage of high acuity patients, resuscitations or procedures. Email me if you have any questions about anything. I can host if you don't mind sleeping on a couch.
