Academic Activities and Responsibilities

Glad to be here...Stoked to be here. =) I grew up in Orlando, FL, the oldest of 2 brothers. College was split between a small liberal arts college in the heart of Napa Valley (Pacific Union College) and the University of Florida (GO GATORS!). I gotta say... "Its a great time to be a Florida Gator." heh. Then med school at Loma Linda in so cal, in what my friends and I call the "armpit of America." The smog's pretty bad. Not to mention that I was alone in a sea of UCLA fans.

So all of my fellow interns pretty much listed the reasons why you should come here. This is an amazing program with some of the most down-to-earth people that you will meet. The faculty members are all great teachers who are in academics for just that: because they love to teach! And yet they are on a level where you can just hang out and chat like old friends. Every year, they do an excellent job putting together a group of residents who will work together, play together, and learn together. Residency is an experience that you will never forget. I ranked this program #1, and as I said before, "I am STOKED to be here!
