The University of Maryland Department of Emergency Medicine provides contact information for our residents and faculty. This resource may be used for the following communication only:

• Personal communication
  • Friends, family, and peers
• University of Maryland correspondance
  • Intra and inter-departmental
  • School of Medicine administration
  • Clinical and medical records (NON-HIPAA ONLY)
  • Medical student and residents
• Academic and professional correspondance
  • New and established research, clinical, & educational collaborators
  • State of Maryland offical communication
    • BPQA, DEA, CDS etc
  • Professional organizations
    • Limited to non-solicitous communication only

All communication portals on this website may NOT be used for solicitation of any kind. This policy is in place at the request of our residents and faculty. Your cooperation is appreciated. Restricted forms of communication include, but are not limited to:

• Mass emailing of any kind
• Job and career counseling
• Head hunters
• Job position listings or offers
• Financial advising including real estate, investments, retirement or estate planning
• Insurance counseling and/or sales
• Pharmacutical or medical technology detailers or representatives
• Legal representatives, expert witness services

If you wish to forward solicitous materials to our residents or faculty, you MUST adhere to departmental policies. Please forward all requests to opportunities@umem.org. They will be reviewed and if deemed appropriate, made available to residents and faculty as per their preferences.

FAILURE TO HEED THIS POLICY WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE AND PERMANENT BAN FROM OUR WEBSITE AND COMMUNICATION PORTAL. THERE WILL BE NO WARNINGS, OR SECOND CHANCES.
