Univeristy of Maryland Prince George’s Hospital Center was founded in 1944 and is located in Cheverly, MD. In addition to offering the surrounding community comprehensive inpatient and outpatient medical services, this facility is also a Level II Trauma Center and is the second busiest trauma center in the state of Maryland. Patients seeking care can be treated for a wide variety of medical needs including: emergency care, critical care, diabetes care, medical imaging, physical rehabilitation, maternal and child health, and a variety of surgical services. The emergency department is staffed by board prepared/board certified physicians as well as experienced mid-level providers and a seasoned emergency nursing team.
